Workshop participants have the opportunity to join a guided technical tour on October 10, 2025. The tour will depart from AKKC in Aalborg, and head to Skagen Salmon, a commercial RAS facility that produces Atlantic salmon from eggs to harvest on land.
The tour continuous to the North Sea Science Park in Hirtshals where participants will visit Maripure, a startup using RAS effluent from Danish Salmon to grow seaweed for processing and mixing into cow feed to reduce methane emissions. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to visit DTU Aqua's research facilities and BioMar's Aquaculture Technology Centre (ATC).
Upon returning, the bus will stop at Aalborg Airport by 15:00 at the latest before continuing to the final destination at AKKC in Aalborg.
